FAQ: Use of the ACTA Logo
Q: Can the ACTA logo be used by ACTA Members or clinics that employ ACTA Members?
Short answer: No.
Long answer:
As a general principle, it is almost never appropriate to use another organization’s logo without explicit consent. Logos are protected intellectual property, and their use can unintentionally imply a relationship—such as endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, certification, or approval. Even when unintended, this may create public confusion and can constitute misrepresentation.
For this reason, ACTA registrants, clinics, businesses, training programs, and other entities do not have permission to use the ACTA logo.
What is appropriate to include in advertising or public materials?
It is appropriate—and encouraged—for ACTA Members to indicate on biographies, business cards, invoices/receipts, and similar professional materials that they are registered with ACTA, and therefore meet ACTA’s registration requirements and are held to ACTA’s Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
